Terms of service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of justrideon.nl (the "Site") and any purchase you make from Just Ride On Amsterdam B.V. ("Just Ride On", "we", "us"), KVK 96700661, Ferdinand Bolstraat 147H, 1072 LH Amsterdam, Netherlands. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please also read our Return & Refund Policy and Shipping Policy, which form part of these Terms.
1. Who can use this Site
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order with us. By ordering, you confirm that the information you provide (name, delivery address, payment details, contact details) is accurate, current, and complete.
2. Products we sell
Just Ride On sells new Cowboy and TENWAYS e-bikes and related accessories, as an independent authorised retailer. We are not Cowboy NV or TENWAYS Technovation Europe B.V., and we don't act as their agent. Just Ride On is the seller and the party you contract with for your purchase. We describe products as accurately as we can, but slight variations in colour, specification, or accessories bundled with a given model may occur as manufacturers update their range; we'll tell you about any material change before you complete your order.
3. Orders and how a contract is formed
Placing an order on the Site is an offer by you to buy the product(s) in your cart. We'll send you an order confirmation email, but a binding contract of sale is only formed once we send you a shipping confirmation (or, for in-store purchases, once payment is completed and you receive a receipt). We may decline or cancel an order. For example if a bike turns out to be out of stock, if there's a pricing or listing error, if payment isn't successfully completed, or if we reasonably suspect fraud, in which case we'll notify you and refund any payment already taken in full.
4. Prices and payment
All prices on the Site are shown in euros and include Dutch VAT (BTW), unless stated otherwise. Shipping costs are shown separately at checkout, as described in our Shipping Policy. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout (including cards, iDEAL, PayPal, Klarna, Shop Pay, Google Pay, and other methods offered by our payment provider). Payment is taken in full when you place your order, unless you've agreed a different arrangement with us (for example a deposit for a pre-order). We take reasonable care to keep prices accurate, but if an obvious pricing error occurs, we may cancel the affected order and refund you in full.
5. Delivery, assembly, and test rides
Delivery timelines, areas, and costs are set out in our Shipping Policy. Where you buy in person at our Amsterdam Store, you're welcome to test ride a bike before purchase under our staff's guidance.
6. Right of withdrawal, returns, and warranty
If you're a consumer ordering online, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, and additional exchange and warranty terms apply as set out in full in our Return & Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Dutch or EU law.
7. Manufacturer apps and services
Cowboy and TENWAYS e-bikes can be paired with the manufacturer's own companion app (and, for Cowboy, the optional Cowboy Connect subscription). Activating and using those apps or subscriptions is a separate relationship directly between you and Cowboy NV or TENWAYS Technovation Europe B.V., governed by their own terms of use and privacy policies, not by Just Ride On. We're happy to help you get set up, but we don't control, and aren't responsible for, those apps or the data they collect.
8. Your responsibilities as a rider
You're responsible for using your e-bike safely and in accordance with Dutch traffic law (including any registration, insurance, helmet, or lighting requirements that apply to the specific model. For maintaining the bike, and for charging and storing the battery as instructed in the manual. Modifying the bike's motor, software, or safety-relevant components yourself, or through an unauthorised third party, may affect your warranty (see our Return & Refund Policy) and may make the bike unsafe or non-compliant with traffic law.
9. Intellectual property
The text, images, product photography, and design of this Site belong to Just Ride On or are used under licence from Cowboy, TENWAYS, or other suppliers. You may view and download pages of the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, republish, scrape, or commercially exploit any part of the Site without our prior written consent.
10. Reviews and content you submit
If you leave a product review, photo, or comment, you confirm it's your own honest opinion and doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use that content on the Site and in our marketing, and we may remove content that's unlawful, abusive, or clearly unrelated to the product.
11. Liability
We're liable for damage caused by our failure to meet our obligations under these Terms, to the extent required by Dutch law. Our liability for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost income or lost enjoyment of use) is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under Dutch or EU law.
12. Force majeure
We're not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including supplier or manufacturer shortages, transport disruption, strikes, extreme weather, or government measures. We'll let you know as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to limit the impact.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you're a consumer, this choice of law doesn't take away protections you're entitled to under the mandatory law of the country where you live. Any dispute we can't resolve directly will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, without prejudice to your right as a consumer to bring proceedings in your own country of residence where EU law gives you that right. See our Legal Notice for how to reach us about a complaint, and note that the EU's online dispute resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our services or the law. Changes apply to orders placed after the update; the version published on this page is always the current one.
