Service & Maintenance Guide
When does your e-bike need maintenance?
When does your e-bike need maintenance?
E-bikes require more maintenance than regular bikes due to their weight, speed, and electrical components.
To keep your bike performing at its best, regular servicing is essential.
First service (important):
- We recommend a check-up after ±10 weeks (to re-adjust parts that naturally settle in after initial use)
Ongoing maintenance:
- A service check every 6 months
- Or every 2.000 km depending on usage
Typical wear & replacement parts:
Some components naturally wear out over time and need to be replaced periodically:
- Brake pads: ± every 2,000 km
- Tires: ± every 4,000 km
- Belt/drive system: ± every 6,000 km
What happens during a service check?
What happens during a service check?
We offer two types of service, depending on your bike’s condition and usage.
Service Check-up (€90)
A general check to keep your bike in top condition. We inspect all key components, adjust brakes, check tire pressure, and tighten and fine-tune where needed.
This service does not include brake pads replacement or lubrication.
Full Service (€180)
A more in-depth service for bikes with more wear or intensive use. Includes everything from the check-up, plus brake servicing (including bleeding if needed), replacement of brake pads if worn, and lubrication of key moving parts.
Important:
Brake pads are a wear part and typically need to be replaced around every ±2,000 km. Riding with worn brake pads reduces braking performance and can cause additional damage.
What can you do yourself?
What can you do yourself?
Keeping your e-bike in good condition doesn’t have to be complicated.
Simple things you can do:
- Clean your bike regularly
Avoid high-pressure water – this can damage electronics - Check tire pressure every 3–6 months
Proper pressure = less wear + better range - Inspect brakes
If braking feels weaker or noisy → time to check - Keep moving parts clean
Especially belt/chain and drivetrain - Check and tighten bolts regularly
Make sure key components stay secure and safe
How do you take care of your battery?
How do you take care of your battery?
Your battery is the most sensitive part of your e-bike.
Follow these guidelines:
- Store at room temperature (avoid extreme cold/heat)
- Keep charge between 20% – 80% when possible
- Don’t leave it empty for long periods
- If unused for a while: store at 40–60% and recharge monthly
- Always use the original charger
