Terms and Conditions
Terms of use – bike
Warranty
- Just Ride On sells products from the brands Cowboy and TENWAYS. These products come with the standard manufacturer's warranty as established by Cowboy and Tenways.
- The warranty terms applicable to Cowboy and TENWAYS products are those described by the respective brands. The warranty period and conditions may vary by product and are determined by Cowboy and TENWAYS.
- Just Ride On acts as an intermediary for warranty claims for Cowboy and TENWAYS products and will assist customers in filing warranty claims according to the manufacturer's guidelines.
Cowboy Warranty
- As a consumer, you have a legal warranty of 2 years on the goods purchased from Cowboy. This 2-year warranty remains valid even if the bike is transferred to another owner, and the warranty expires 2 years after the original (first) purchase of the bike.
- You have a 1-year warranty on bikes sold through the Cowboy Circular program.
- This warranty covers all original parts against manufacturing and material defects (for example, if the products do not match the product description in the manual or do not match the product advertisement).
- During the first six months of the warranty, you do not need to prove that the defect was present when you purchased the product.
- The warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by accidents; improper assembly or installation of the product by the user; incorrect or careless use; operation or transformation of the product; maintenance contrary to the product's maintenance instructions (e.g., failure to maintain brakes).
- The warranty does not apply to parts that naturally deteriorate in quality due to normal use and need to be replaced. The expected lifespan of these parts depends on factors such as usage intensity, maintenance, and general handling. It is the owner's responsibility to regularly inspect and adequately maintain their bike, and to replace parts when they have reached their limit. These parts include, but are not limited to: inner and outer tubes, brake discs, brake pads, cables, belts, gears, spokes, bearings, saddle wear.
- It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the battery is charged at appropriate intervals (6-8 weeks) if the bike is not in use. Otherwise, deep discharge may occur, which is a necessary safety measure. In such cases, the battery must be replaced at the customer's expense.
- The product warranty explicitly does not cover issues caused by modification or transformation of the product, including the use of third-party applications to alter or adjust motor control settings. It is important to note that even one modification can lead to damage. Additionally, if such modifications cause issues for other aspects of the bike, including hardware, these specific problems are also not covered by this warranty.
- Warranty claims must be filed directly with Cowboy. Any warranty repair must be carried out by Cowboy or approved in advance by Cowboy. Otherwise, Cowboy reserves the right to reject the warranty claim.
- If a warranty claim is accepted, we will, at our discretion, provide a replacement (which may not necessarily be identical) for the defective part/parts, or we will make reasonable commercial efforts to repair the defective part/parts. Cowboy covers the cost of the part, shipping, and any labor costs for repairs. Any additional transportation costs (e.g., if the customer requests an on-site technician for the repair, or travel costs to and from a service point) are the responsibility of the customer.
- Any replacement parts or components are covered under warranty for the same duration as the original product, and expire at the same time as the warranty on the original product.
- The warranty described in this article applies to products intended for use in Cowboy countries: Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, France, UK, Luxembourg, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Austria, USA. Cowboy has no (warranty) obligations towards the consumer if the product is used outside these countries.
TENWAYS Warranty
- If you are a consumer, meaning you are not purchasing our product(s) within the scope of your business, trade, or profession, you are entitled to a 2-year limited warranty (5 years for the frame) on materials and manufacturing from the date of delivery. Within Europe, the warranty is valid within the European Union (excluding Malta, Cyprus, and the outermost regions of the EU). This warranty policy applies only to purchases made directly through our online store "tenways.com". Please consult your dealer or supplier regarding their warranty policy if you purchase products from them.
- The 2-year limited warranty covers electronic components (where applicable) and non-wearing parts: motor, controller, torque sensor, battery, etc. The frame is covered by a 5-year limited warranty. The following are not covered under warranty: consumables, non-original or unauthorized components and parts, normal wear and tear of all covered components, damage or defects to covered components due to failure to follow instructions in the user manual, force majeure, accidents, theft, vandalism, misuse, neglect, abuse, commercial use, modifications, alteration, improper assembly, operator errors, water damage, extreme riding, stunt riding, or improper/unauthorized maintenance and servicing. Regarding the battery, the warranty does not cover damage due to power surges, use of an incorrect charger, improper maintenance, or similar misuse, normal wear and tear, or water damage, improper storage (below -20° or above +45°). Wear components are not covered under the 2-year warranty. We will, however, provide support for these components as needed for a reasonable fee.
